On April 6, 2017 (82 FR 16873) the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) announced the Post-Accident Reporting (PAR) Advisory Committee will hold a meeting on Monday, April 24, 2017, at the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) Workshop in Atlanta, GA. Under section 5306 of the FAST Act, the PAR was charged with reviewing post-accident reports and made recommendations on the data elements required by the reports and modifications that may improve their use through the addition of data elements at its meeting in December 2016. At this meeting, the PAR will provide suggestions concerning the implementation of its recommendations to the FMCSA Administrator. The meeting is open to the public for its entirety. The meeting will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017, from 1:30-5 p.m., Eastern Time (E.T.), at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, 265 Peachtree Street NE., Atlanta, GA 30303. Copies of the task statement and an agenda for the entire meeting will be made available in advance of the meeting at http://par.fmcsa.dot.gov.
